Collaborated with a group of faculty and wrote a proposal to upgrade and expand the Learning Loft into a faculty center. I provided individual and small group professional development sessions.

Designed and developed a two day professional development workshop for faculty. I teamed up with several faculty members that taught various sessions anout using technology in their courses. After the sessions the faculty took something that they learned and incorporated it into their course and demonstrated to the group how they would use it. 

The Learning Loft provides a space for collaboration with faculty and staff to promote excellence in teaching and learning environments that contribute to the engagement of Eastfield students. Our work contributes to EFC’s commitment to education and innovation. The goal is for faculty to have a greater sense of confidence in their computer skills and practical approaches integrating technology into their curriculum.  This provides them a base to build technology infused lesson plans as well as feel comfortable with the equipment in the learning studios. Not only are faculty provided one-on-one training and support in curriculum development they can earn professional development credit. The space houses all of the components that are currently found in the learning studios such as a Sympodium, document camera, and also 3 faculty workstations.  Each of the workstations are installed with the following software: SMART Notebook, SoftChalk Lesson Builder 6, Video Edit Magic, and the Adobe E-Learning suite.  The E-Learning Suite combines full versions of: Captivate, Flash Professional w/Learning Interactions, Dreamweaver with CourseBuilder Extension, Photoshop, Acrobat 9 Pro, Presenter 7, Soundbooth.
